HOW TO MARKET WITHOUT INSTAGRAM
There are a lot of ways to market your product-based business without Instagram. In this blog post, we’ll go over a few of them.
Search engine optimization (also known as SEO). These days, when potential customers want something they immediately search for it on the internet. So you need to make sure your product is there to be easily found. You do this by making sure you are using the same keywords in your online materials as the customers are using in their searches. Rachel Dunn Jewelry, who we are proud to say is in our MultiStream Machine, is a great example of strong SEO on her Etsy page.
Emails. Contrary to what you may have heard, emails are not dead. They are a great way to connect with your customer, keeping a line open with them into the foreseeable future. Always be collecting emails. We see too many sellers at in-person markets who don’t collect email addresses from people who show interest in their product. Leaving money on the table!
Platforms like Amazon. Donna, a Multi-Stream Machine student, is making $30,000 every 90 days by just having her product on Amazon. Her Instagram has four posts and twenty-two followers. If this isn’t the perfect example of why to prioritize getting your product on selling platforms, we don’t know what it is.
Partnerships, affiliates, and collaborations. No one should have to build a product-based business alone. Partner with other businesses that have the same target audience. Develop affiliates who will help you sell your product— maybe they like being on Instagram! One of the biggest reasons our Mastermind students are so successful is the Mastermind community. Students collaborate with each other to find priceless marketing opportunities and ideas.
If you do use Instagram for your business, make sure your followers are your target audience. You may have tens of thousands of followers, but if they are not potential customers then it doesn’t really help you.
For those of you who are finding business success with Instagram, keep it up! Those algorithms are no joke!
